Pho are the leading Vietnamese restaurant group in Europe with 16 sites across the UK. Founded in 2005 after husband and wife, Stephen and Juliette Wall travelled to Vietnam and fell in love with the national dish, Pho! The first restaurant opened in Clerkenwell, as London's first Vietnamese street food restaurant. KOTA and Pho have formed a strong partnership and work together daily to ensure the online and offline offering are at the very front of the hospitality sector.
KOTA were approached by Pho Restaurants in early 2014 to redesign and develop their digital infrastructure and strategy. We have since partnered with Pho to provide all online and offline material including traditional and digital marketing, a-boards, menus, promotional posters and creative campaigns.
Pho approached us with an interesting and tasty brief. A key requirement for the new website was to make sure consistency was kept in line with the restaurants in house experience, whilst also enhancing the customers journey online. We approached the design using a playful, rustic and handcrafted feel, which we felt encapsulated the Vietnamese street food vibe.
Over 60% of Pho's previous users were using a mobile device to access the website. We ensured the new website would be a seamless experience for a user navigating the site. Mobile users can access menus, find a nearby restaurant or get in touch within just a couple of clicks.
We have supported Pho in involving a fresh new style for the brand. Our visually led campaigns help Pho to gain exposure across London and throughout the UK. We focussed on a new typography style, hand drawn illustrations and an alternative colour and texture palette.
KOTA have considerably grown the database for Pho and continue to engage customers with creative digital marketing campaigns. We act fast with trending topics in London to ensure Pho are gaining maximum exposure. Monthly emails are built responsively to work across all modern devices. We tailor specific campaigns based on a users location and favourite restaurants.
