The Bathurst Arms has a 300 year history as an Old English Inn. The public house, restaurant and hotel is set deep in the heart of the Cotswolds. Under new ownership and with the vision of this being the first venue of a new hospitality group, The Bathurst Arms teamed up with KOTA to become their creative arm.
Launching the website before a major renovation proved a new challenge for KOTA, as we had no photography available to base the site around. Our solution for this was to create a distinctive, half tone style to be the main feature throughout the website. Content management requirements were to allow full control of menus, calendars and job listings via an internal admin system. Engaging both the local community and visitors to the Cotswolds was also a must for the new venue owners.
We created a mobile site that is fast loading, easily found and user friendly.
With a style now established we then applied it to a complete branding exercise throughout all marketing material as well as internal / external venue signage, commissioned artwork, menus and digital marketing.
We sourced reclaimed materials, recycled papers and hand made stamps to create an authentic rustic style. Signage was hand painted onto original surfaces as well as the original brick work.
